Saturday dawned bright and sunny with a force 4-5 Southwesterly wind. James Hurst from Grafham was one of the first too arrive after Martin Searle and Chris Stafford. Despite a mixed weather forecast for southern England the sun shone, as ever, in Swanage for the Sprint 15 Southern Travellers Championship. With 7 ‘travellers’ joining the 8 Swanage Sprint 15s all was set for a fine battle, with the breeze building to a lively 3 to 4 on the Saturday afternoon for the first of 3 back to back races. more...

We already have 20 entries and it is looking like being one of the best yet. You have one week left to bag yourself a bargin as the price goes up on the 1st June. The price includes a BBQ Friday night with entertainment,I have arranged for the Exmoor Border Morris Men to entertain us. Three course meal on Saturday night and you will all receive a commemorative T-shirt. I have also got available 10 beds for visiting sailors as local sailors have kindly offered to host visiting sailors. The second Sprint 15 summer TT series event was held at Seasalter Sailing Club on the North Kent coast over the weekend of 17-18 May. Despite earlier good forecasts the weather steadily worsened until by Friday NE F5-6 with F7 gusts and rain were predicted for both race days. This, understandably, led to a significant reduction in the number of entrants for the event. more...
