On Saturday February 20th the Sprint 15 fleet visited Queen Mary for the fourth event of their Winter Series. Once again for this winter series, the forecast was for a cold day with light wind. Even so, there was a terrific 19 boat entry, coming from IOW in the south to Carsington in the north. more..

5) General News: Sprint15's at the RYA Dinghy Show (Article Published: 15th February 2010 at 15:01 pm)

Why not come and see us at the RYA Dinghy Show, Alexandra Palace on the weekend of 6/7 March? We will be showing a boat provided by Windsport and over the weekend the stand will be manned by many of the Sprint 15 Association committee as well as National Champion (Kyle Stoneham) and a number of our top sailors. Come and tell us what we are doing right or wrong and to find out what we are planning for the coming year. We will be taking names of those wanting to sign up for a free demonstration ride which we will organize at a club near you. Brian Phipps (of Windsport) will be at the show both days and you can save postage on your Sprint 15 spare parts by pre-ordering them from Windsport (01326 376191) by 28 February.

8) Event News: TT at Draycote Water Sailing Club - Race Report

The Sprint 15 - Draycote winter TT event ( known as the Draycote frozen soft fruit event ) scheduled for the 9th Jan 10 was called off due to adverse weather . Possibly the first time that a Sprint 15 event has been called off due to a frozen lake . After some quick reorganising by Pete Slater the event was rescheduled and piggy backed onto a pre scheduled Super Nova event on the 23st Jan 10 . more..
