Do not know why there is a change of plan, but the second hand Dart 18s for sale at the last 2 shows generated a fair bit of interest for the class, looking very very cheap against all the new monohulls, so possibly something to look at again next year? plus they raised a fair bit for the class asso...

Last year I started racing the 15 again. Every time I went out the wind died to force 1. I did very badly. My club completed an RYA return. Handicap moves to 933

Makes me wonder what would happened to sport handicap if I attempt to race in sport mode this year :D

George, thanks, sadly read your advice after straightening.

Why did I not think of doing something sensible like lying the workmate down ?????????? (Each time I pulled, workmate and 2 teenagers just pivotted around).

Much more than a two stage process 1. Be thankful it is not carbon 2. Be thankful it is not telescopic 3. Check price of replacement 4. Resolve that if the straightening totally fails, then I will just buy a new one 5. Take encoragement and courage from "Bend it back. It'll probably be fine.&qu...

Any advice on straighening tiller extension?

After very dramatically cartwheeling the boat across the reservoir this afternoon, I have a snapped trapeze shock cord (easily sorted) and the long tiller extension is now bent through about 30 degrees.
