Mainsail area

Out of interest I have been using my sprint as a bit of a test platform for seeing how much gain you get from deck sweepers and square tops. I cut down a shearwater main in the summer and finally got round last week to building a new one from scratch. I had a a bit of a revealtion last night in the ...

Sprint 15 Decksweeper for fun

I've been busy over the weekend cutting down an old shearwater mainsail I've had lying around into a 15 Decksweeper as light airs fun sail. Took it for a spin yesterday and she was flying along in 10knots. Some work to be done but bit of a laugh and an interesting project. https://www.facebook.com/t...

Hey Gary,

I'm making a bunch of covers at the minute for our Sprint15s and would be really happy to do you a deal as you lent your boat to Dan. I can do them in most shapes and colours.

Any boats available to borrow for the nationals?

Last minute situation that one of our young guys can't go now, meaning we have also lost a driver and are struggling to work out how to get all the boats to the nationals. I have found a bigger trailer so I can tow 4 boats up but we are strugaling to get the 5th boat up. Are there any boats in Thorp...

Re: Sprint 15's in Plymouth and looking for bits

Hi guys, Sorry for the lack of reply, trying to run a sail loft, go sailing and organize the cadets at the club hasn't given me much free time in the past few weeks. We had a fantastic Plymouth Dinghy regatta, 5 Sprints out. I was able to sail 1540 to 3rd overall in the 58 boat fleet after buying it...
