Early Bird option on Sprint for sale

Hi, Sadly we are preparing our Sprint 15 #2008 for sale. Life is changing and the Sprint 15 has so re-invigorated our love of sailing that we have bought a fixer-up Rival 38 yacht to journey towards a liveaboard cruising retirement. We can't manage both. So the best equipped Out of Africa boat #2008...

Mast plug repair

Hi, Our Sprint 15 #2008 has a two piece mast. The top of the grp plug is now loose, as I look at it a foam core has been revealed (I haven't pulled it right off). Any suggestions for how to repair it? I've been assuming a glue or resin but I don't want to pick a glue or resin that will melt the foam...

And the help was very much appreciated cos the beams were really tight.

The ones I found look very new. The small ones for the aft hatches.

Re: Broken boat #2008 Championship entry threatened

Thanks to Windsport a fully repaired #2008 has completed day 1 of the Nationals without any cracks and without taking on any water at all. A massive improvement over last year.

Hi,

Just checked in with Brian at Windsport, they are now confident that they will be able to complete the repairs in time for the National Championships :-)

Yippee!

Thanks Liam very kind of you, not sure how practical and cost effective 4 crossings to IOW is.

So still open to offers :-)

Re: Broken boat #2008 Championship entry threatened

So #2008 is now at Windsport for some tlc. A careful examination showed cracking around both rear beam sockets in a way that has happened to some other Out of Africa boats. A "proper job" repair is underway but may not be completed in time for the Nationals. So we are trying to make backup...

Broken boat #2008 Championship entry threatened

The crack goes from the inside edge to about the middle and while sailing opened up to about 5mm. It seems to continue u...

Thanks Liam,

Sorry I hadn't noticed the icon at the bottom, I thought it was on the menu and did spend some time looking there.

Hi,

The link to class clothing (hoodies etc) seems to have disappeared off the website. Is it still available?

Thanks
