I think the Mozzy boys are looking for a job on the INEOS design team. They deserve a special mention and of course some of Uncle Jim's TLC for the next Cup cycle.

Dear all,
I tried the Howard Hawks method below (thank you Howard) and it worked a treat. As an additional thing I have bought a Camcleat CL261 (about £7) to be assist to pull the main halyard as hard as possible to release the peak of the sail from the hook.

Downhaul fitting

The standard downhaul fitting is cumbersome when trying to release. It lies at an awkward angle for releasing quickly at the top mark. I have to hold the tail end of the downhaul line and do a rather inelegant karate kick to get the line released from the jammer. Any thoughts / improvements?
