Re: Queen Mary TT

Quick question about sailing two up on Saturday as my son is keen to come along, but I see in the NOR / Entry Form that the formats are either Uni Rig or Sport but no two up option? I assume it's not going to be a big problem is it - especially considering just how competitive a sailor I am  Th...

Update on 1460 now sold from Calshot Cat Club

While it was nothing to do with me other than my Sprint 15 used to occuoy the same spot and it took me ages to get used to the idea it was not my boat, 1460 is I understand now sold from Calshot Cat Club and last seen sailing down the Solent to go to Calshot Sailing club. And I see my flurry of post...

The cheque is in the post as they say.

Unlike the ability to race, which isn't in the bag.

Netley Nationals August

I hope I've not missed the answer somewhere, I've tried looking honest.

Is there the possibility of camping at the Netley Nationals this August? Well I say camping it would be more staying in a motrhome but you know what I mean.

Thanks

Re: How often do you renew rigging?

I was wondering how often the regular sailors here renew their boat's bridle wires, forestay & shrouds. Usually shortly after they've broken, but that's been on the other boat which I'll not mention again here. In the list I'd include trapeze lines, as having had it happen in the middle of the ...

Not sure if this really counts, but the spinnaker pole on my (sorry to mention it here) Hobie Pacific is the mast from a Laser.

A weak link I know but I need a reason to post to see if I can move up from Able Seaman :)

Just like acid rain. Did n't that get better as all the factories and power stations belching out sulphur dioxide and such were forced to use low sulphur fuels or clean the flue gasses up and so reduce the amount acid washing out in the rain? As to cold weather, I think just as one swallow d...

Any Wind?

I'm all pack on the trailer ready to come, but the wind forecast is looking desperate! It's going to be a tough call in the morning - gentle floating in little wind or mother-in-laws birthday lunch.......

Trailer tent and a cat....

Peter, A few years ago I saw a Trailer Tent on ebay that had been adapter to carry a Dart 18. Main thing was to increase the length on the "draw bar" bit on the trailer, with some diagonal bracing – so it can be done. We've got a folding camper, and I keep looking of ways to put 1683 on to...

Been with me since Sept 06.

Bought from a chap in Princes Risborough who'd had her since Oct 91. He bought her from C.A.C. Watersports in Cornwall after doing a cat course there on here.

Used mostly for social / family and my attempts to race in the winter traveller series......
