Re: Looking for secondhand 15's

Sprint15b.jpg Sprint15a.jpg Not being an active class association member, I was not aware of the shortage of second hand boats until reading this thread today so I hope it is OK to post this here rather than in the boats for sale section for the time being. We intend putting our Sprint 15 1941 on t...

1941

Just purchased 1941 from a member at Draycote Water to replace 1700 which is now for sale on Apollo Duck and this site. She will be used as a second boat by my wife and I at Wells Next The Sea on the North Norfolk Coast. Our first boat is an Enterprise which we race at Mid Warwickshire YC at Leaming...

Sail Repair

A big thank you to Steve Sawford for faciltitating the repair of my mainsail recently The inboard end of the batten pockets had come away from the luff. Not sure which sailmaker he uses but the repair was excellent and good value too.. When I collected the sail Steve took time out to reinsert batten...

Re: 3 boat length ruling

Please could someone elaborate the 3 boat length ruling for me? Is it simply a replacement of the 2 boat length rule for rounding marks? I think you need to have sight of the rewritten Rule 18. Its a little more involved than that but should actually make things simpler. As always the Bryan Willis ...

1700

Boat is a Graffiti model and has been in our ownership for about 5 years. She is kept and sailed (not raced) as a second boat at Wells Next The Sea in North Norfolk by my wife and myself. We find that she is well suited to East Coast Sailing (rapid tides and shallow waters!) and that she tacks and m...

Roller Reefing Line

I need to replace the roller reefing line on the jib. Can anyone confirm the optimum length for the line,as unfortunately I am 120 miles away from the boat right now?.

If the damage was accidental, could that element of it form part of an insurance claim to offset some of the cost?

Rudder problem has been solved with liberal quantities of boiling water, rudder waggling and a squirt of WD40 down the shaft. Goes up and down a treat. Thanks for all the tips.

Trampoline Repair/Replacement

My trampoline has developed a frayed split in the front port corner. It is about 6" long and runs from near to the port edge going inboard parrallel to and 2" aft of the diagonal seam. The rest of the tramp looks pretty sound. (The boat is sailed doublehanded on the sea approx once a fortn...

Rudder Problem

My Port hand rudder blade is now virtually impossible to raies or lower using the tiller and when it is down it doesn't lock. I have to lean over the back of the boat and physically push the blade down. Am I right in thinking that a service repair kit is available and if so will it cure the problem?...
