If you have a full cover, remove all four hatch covers when your boat is stowed. This will dry the hulls out nicely.

Also make sure you cover both mast balls to avoid getting grease on the tramps.

Well George, I can’t be of much help re the geography as I wasn’t very good at it (could never find the class room). Getting back to Wales though, I found Phwelli and surrounding area like a micro Scotland, Hills/mountains, beaches, woods, castles, add Portmeirion, Harlech & the Ffestiniog...

I totally agree with George, Pwllheli was head & shoulders above all the National venues I've attended. The sailing was fantastic and the view from the sea was top drawer, Snowdonia plus two castles ! As George has said good race officer, modern clubhouse, secure boat parking, all this & clo...

Hi Robin, The crack on my mast was identical to yours and as Chris pointed out once repaired should be as good as new. What’s more worrying, is where Andrew’s going with this “I've got a little cat And I'm very fond of that.” I suspect he’s heading for some “Are You Being Served “ humour. Grubguru’s...

Hi Robin, yes I did have the same problem last year. I had mine repaired by Sailspar who are at Brightlingsea , http://www.sailspar.co.uk/ . This may be too far for you to travel for a repair, but it’s worth a phone call for a bit of advice. The cost of the welding was only £15. As for sailing it wi...

Hi Andrew, Good to hear Roger’s in a 15, Richard Whitelock & I sat with him, his wife & son Chris at the Thorpe Bay Nationals dinner. As I remember Roger gave a good account of himself on the water, steadily improving as the week went on, no mean feat when you consider he was using a sail th...

Hi Ray, This all sounds very interesting, though I do have a few questions. What is the main sail area? Is the sail area of the jib increased? Any idea what its PY rating will be. Do you have a projected cost of the conversion? Will it be at Draycote. When can I have a go !!! As you know Richard Whi...
