Onshore wind

At one point the girls in the kitchen even o...

Try arriving at the start line facing the wrong way with your mainsheet unhooked and your mainsail wildly flapping all over the place.
Doesn’t work for me, but I notice it slowed Bob down considerably on Sunday, in fact I believe he was last over the start line!!

Is it worth having a word with the girls in the kitchen to lay on some spaghetti bolognaise or even a lasagne just in case our new Italian member turns up?
I personally go for pasty & chips !!

Yes I agree with all the warm & grateful comments regarding Jonathan, he certainly did a sterling job of representing the Dart / Sprint 15 on the www. Good luck and a big thank you to Martin for taking over the reins, though I note that as to date he?s not managed to filter Bob off the chat page...

The luck of Bob

Hi Erling, I don?t know if this is applicable to your question but when you mention the word average I must report that Bob had better than average luck at Grafham last week. Windy night

Well the wind was nothing to do with me, though I did take the pictures. On Sunday Bob Chris & I did end up picking a 15 out of the trees, funnily enough no damage, more than can be said for George Wood's boat !!

Lunch

Yes, the pasty, beans & chips helped to keep things sunny side up especially during the 7+ gusts, in which I noticed several salad munchers swimming!! :

I myself find the diet of strong stout and meat pies to be most helpful in strong winds!!
