Re: Well done to our new National Champion

Yes, Well done Jenny!!

You pulled some impressive moves on the water yesterday and sailed flawlessly - well from what I could see so far astern of you..

Re: Dart 15 Pre-Nationals Group Coaching Session - Friday 14 July

Nice idea David & thank you for organising.

I'm booked in and hopefully Jacob can make it too.

See you there. I presume we can unload & rig on Thursday night @ TBYC as I'll need some muscle to get the boats off..

I had no idea Nigel keeps a few spares with him.

Do we know what just for the record?

Re: Grafham Winter TT - 12th March - Entries Open

Excellent event, even if some half boats did get in the way from time to time lol. Well done Mark for today & Jenny for the series. I was going to have a beer when I got home but thought I'd use my prize to demolish a bottle of Pinot instead! After that & an hour in the bath I have no aches...

Re: Grafham Winter TT - 12th March - Entries Open

Well done to Mark for being the 4th different winner of the series. I am guessing there was a bit of breeze. And congratulations to Jenny for taking the winter series following on from the summer series. I have put the scores up. Thank you Liam & yes. I was the first to reach the committee boat...

Re: Starting Rules

I have in the past had boats come from behind (overtaking) & turn upwind into me with a shout of windward, but if I'm not moving or going very slowly not much I can do. You could say "protest" back to them. If I could be bothered with the admin Liam. A firm retort and a cunning manoeu...

Re: Starting Rules

If Jason's rudders were hard over I don't see what more he could do. You can only luff to head to wind, you can't force a tack. I agree with the above. We need to be moving to be able to steer. I have in the past had boats come from behind (overtaking) & turn upwind into me with a shout of wind...

Re: Starting Rules

An overlap is an overlap & for sure reasonable opportunity to move needs to be given, but at the start it's expected to be a manoeuvring zone so you need to plan ahead. A Dart 15 is not a Laser and cannot behave or handle in the same manner, so irrelevant. If you put yourself to windward of comp...
