Re: Social/Fun Sailing Trip to Windsport, Falmouth

George, that's a great idea. We all had such a fantastic time last year.
IF our trip to France in late August is canned by Boris, we will come. We probably wont know until quite near time though.

Latest magazine

Congratulations to our mag editor Yvonne on producing a fantastic bumper Winter edition of our favourite mag. It dropped thru the letterbox yesterday am and has already been digested from cover to cover. It's a great showpiece for our Association. So once again, Well done Yvonne! Season's greetings ...

Windsport Regatta

Just thought I would post a quick message to say what a great time the 15's had at Windsport's first Cat Regatta. I'm sure there is a future magazine article lurking somewhere to give you some pictures and more details , but for the moment lets just say the the Fal River scenery is superb, our hosts...

Re: Erling

What sad , sad news. I don't think that right now I can really find the words to express my emotions on hearing this news.

He was larger than life, and always fiercely competitive on the water. But at the same time friendly and so welcoming to new helms in the class.

Re: Help please

Hi folks, many thanks for the useful comments that you posted. The Prindle is now listed on Apollo Duck, priced at £480. I have no idea if it will generate any interest. There doesn't appear to be any Prindles for sale in the UK. I might try taking it out for a sail, over Easter, just to see how it ...

Help please

Hi folks, I need some help/ advice. Our club, at Bognor Regis is tidying up its boat park and have decided to get rid of an old Prindle 15 cat, which appears to have all the kit still intact. I seem to have been fingered to sell this. So, I'm looking for any pointers on whether these boats are still...

Re: Windsport Multihull Regatta July 2019 Heads Up

Hi Brian, this sounds a great idea. A bit like the 15's well tried format at Pentewan. I'm seeing what other family members are available.

Re: Rescued from the bushes

Hi Lee, I've found the old tramp. Its definitely an old Spark one. Its in one piece, but needs a repair on the diagonal webbing, which a sailmaker can do in 5 mins. If you can text me on 07837 604699 I'll send you some pictures. I dont want any money for it, just for Postage , which is about £5-6 . ...

Re: Rescued from the bushes

Hi Lee, the boat number question is a tricky one, as the numbers on the inside of the hull, visible thru the rear hatch are in code. Possibly Bob Carter ( who is a regular contributor to the chat pages ) or Brian Phipps at Windsport can decode them . But if the sails are red/yellow they are probably...

Re: Rescued from the bushes

Hi Lee, , if you need to replace the tramp tracks I have a pair of old Spark ones available. They are a bit tatty as the previous owner fitted long jib sheet fairleads on top of them, so they have quite a few holes. I think there is also an original Spark tramp, but I need to dive into the storage p...

1 piece mast

Hi folks, just realised today that my phone no on the ad for the sale of the one piece mast was wrong, (missing last digit) and Liam has now very kindly corrected it. So, if you need of of these rare beasts, you can now contact me on the correct mobile number.

Re: Summer TT at Marconi - 14/15 April

The photo of all the new 15s lined up in numerical order on the beach is such a great advert for the strength of the class,as it celebrates its 40th year. Not sure who took the photo, but it was an inspired idea.

Re: Do you have old beams or tramp?!

Hi Jenny, only just seen this posting. I have both a front and rear beam, most of the traveller assembly and a tramp, which i think will fit. Assume the hulls have the older style tramp tracks ?Only problem is we are not in uk at moment. If you can pass the details on, I am happy to correspond direct...
