Winter sailing

I was a bit soft during the Nationals and used my dry suit, only to find that the rubber socks had perished, result ... wet pants. So I rang up and ordered a new pair (of socks not pants) to attempt a repair.... However I didn't know you could order ankles or socks for a dry suit......and I got the ...

dodgy back

Hi Steve.... will just have to see about Sunday, I've been signed off work for the first time ever, and what do you think I am doing this morning ?? baking a cake for Angela's birthday ..

Well done on Sunday, you and Paul seemed to be swopping places during the first race.

Lighting up in North Wales

Hi all, Thanks to all for the information regarding lighting boards and where to put them... Anyone who has driven into N. Wales will know that the police have quite a reputation with regards the motorist. But I had a good laugh the other day as our chief constable Mr Brunstrum decided he wanted to ...

Lighting set legality

Thanks to all for the information, what a good thing the chat page is ! I will continue to use the big lighting set for long trips and rig up the smaller one for sailing club boat delivery ( and do the trip on the quiet when Mr Plod is busy doing something else ). I cannot make Carsington for two re...

lighting board legality

Hi Rob....The set I use now is good and robust (and heavy), not to difficult to get on and off and does have a mast step. When I take the boat to and from the club I have bolted the set to the back of the trailer for the return trip home (minus boat), but as the box sticks out a bit beyond the back ...

Lighting set legality

As the proud owner of Steve Sawfords first trailer box I was wondering about attaching a lighting board to the back of it. The one I use at present is a great big thing that sits on the back of the boat, attached via the rudder fittings. However it all needs to be removed when you arrive at your des...

Quick visit to Saundersfoot

Just got home from a family holiday in Cardigan ( just up the coast from St Davids), and couldn't resist a trip to Tenby via Saundersfoot. Both have lovely beaches and Saundersfoot should make an excellent venue for the Nationals. The fun sail to Tenby should be good, the new lifeboat station is wel...

SAIL REPAIR

My sail is a couple of years old but is used just for best, then spends most time suspended from the garage roof. The bottom two inches of bolt (luff) rope have gone up the sail. Must be due to some stretch, makes stuffing the last bit of sail down the track before attaching the cunningham a pain in...

Main sheet blocks

I've got some drawings from Panthercraft and they have a sketch of a Dart 15 fun. This seems to have a reduced purchase main sheet arrangement compared with the dart 15 sport. :?

Sprint 15 Trailer

:) Hi all.......When I picked my boat up from Steve Sawford he had a couple of good looking 15 trailers, galvanised with jockey wheel. That was some time ago but he may know the supplier. The one that came with my boat is made by "Hallmark". It's galvanised, tough as old boots, I can take ...

Yes got the week booked, will be doing the fun events, nice chill out before all that racing stuff... Looking at the Pembroke web site, and waiting for confirmation of accommodation, fancy a B+B. My back can do a max of three nights in a tent..!!

Halifax Open

Hi Bob, The date for the Halifax open 12-13th May is that confirmed...My good lady has to book her locum work well in advance and I wouldn't want to clash.

If that mouse at Halifax is still a problem, I can bring my tried and tested trap and peanut butter bait.....gets them every time..

Steve has made the plug, but needs a little &q...
