For those that are going to the Nationals at Windsport and maybe staying for a few days after, I am planning to put together a little programme of social sailing/fun events. The sort of things could include: -a Harbour Raid -cruises in the local area for pasties and ice cream. St. Mawes is a short s...
It's heeeeere!!
And - Wow! - real bumper edition and the perfect read on a dreary Boxing Day in cold northern climes - with a wee dram in hand (obviously).
Well played, Yvonne.
Eagerly awaiting my copy - hope it comes today!
Thanks, Yvonne - great job.
A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, all the staff in the 'Newsprint' offices and all the readers
The Class will be exhibiting at the 2022 RYA Dinghy Show. I understand that, barring tempest, flood and unexpected Covid restrictions, this year's show will be 'live' at the new venue of Farnborough Exhibition and Conference Centre. I am informed by the RYA Show Team that tickets can now be purchase...
Hi Mike, Fantastic news indeed on the growth of your fleet. 17 boats from just one or two of a few years ago is a great result. And it would be great to see some of you 'on the road' to take part in a few events. You'd be very welcome and I'm sure it would be enjoyable. We had three new Carsington s...
A huge SHOUT OUT to all the travellers who journeyed from distant and warmer climes to brave the rigours of a northern Indian summer and take part in the event. You made it so very special for your local compatriots. I have been asked by all those involved from Carsington - the on the water team, cl...
I concur with Mark A's comments and would add that these sails have the potential to devalue the whole boat when you come to sell at worst and at best reduce the number of interested buyers. You may also find that even if you wish to race at club level they will not permit non class legal sails. If ...
Quick update for those travelling to the event in advance of Saturday and wishing to drop off boats. Wednesday & Thursday - club will be open until around 6.30pm for access. Friday- club will be open until around 6pm but boats can be dropped off after this by prior arrangement but no later than ...
The SIs are now posted on this website under the relevant event. https://www.sprint15.com/events/EMS/event/217/Sprint%2015%20TT-SI-2021-v1.pdf They will shortly be added to the Carsington SC website under the 'Open Events' tab - 'Sprint 15 TT'. If you spot any deliberate errors or have any comments,...
My thanks to all at Shanklin and Yaverland for a superbly organised event. I would mention a particular shout out to the energetic beach team for getting me on the water and, more importantly, getting this tired old man off the water at the end of the day with their vim and vigour to get the boat ba...
Hi All, Online entry for this event is now open and you can enter via the link posted under the "Events' section on this website. The NOR has also been posted. There will be a two course meal and bar service on Saturday evening at a separate cost of £10/head. The menu is included in the entry p...
Got my Mag, too - truly excellent - well done, Yvonne, in these challenging times when opportunities to get active on the water have been a bit few and far between. But just showcases how active the Sprint 15 Class has been!
Merry Christmas to one and all.
Keep safe!
