IMPORTANT - Registration:

PLEASE send me your registration form if you have not already done so. I have no entry info from GWSC (due to data protection). All I have is a list of sail numbers from their website and we cannot administer a Nationals with that!

We need your registration form to upload entries to the website, manage prizes and entry discounts.

And I could do with getting all of that admin done this weekend as I do also have a day job.

I am missing forms from the following sail numbers:
1221
1237
1359
1642
1821
1906
1915
1939
1942
1951
1966
1981
1982
1986
1988
1989
1990
2016
2023

Where I know your names and email addresses - I have sent a reminder this morning. If you have not received a form - let me know and I can re-send. (Jenny@sprint15.com)

Big thanks to the 30 of you that have returned them already - your entry is now up on the events page of the website.

Copying this across from another thread:

Windsport will be at Grafham for the full weekend providing spares and support to the class. Likely to arrive first thing on Saturday morning.

If you want any orders brought up to save on delivery costs, get you orders in by Monday. Select "I will collect" in the delivery options then mention the Grafham in the notes.

Cheers

Do we think we are all good to go for the weekend?

My reading of the current COVID-19 rules says yes, as long as we keep to groups of 6 or less outside and adhere to the RYAs recommendations, which GWSC will be all over.

Hi Charles, Everyone.

From an event perspective - unless Grafham advise otherwise, we are still on for the weekend. Organised outdoor sport - arranged in line with guidelines from our sport governing body (ie the RYA) is still permitted. Please watch out for information from GWSC that they will send to all competitors (it won't come via us). This will detail the Covid arrangements that they need us to follow along with other info for the event.

In addition to the guidance from GWSC - it is all our individual responsibility to follow the guidance and law surrounding Covid - whether that is on site at GWSC or elsewhere at the weekend (eg. staying at accommodation, evening meals etc).

It is also our individual responsibility to know what those requirements are - all the latest info can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

On a brighter note - fingers crossed for a great time on the water!

looking at the forecast, bring your bicycles as we could always have a pedal around the lake waiting for the wind to fill in..

.....or just go to the pub!

Thanks Jenny, that's certainly how I perceive things. I'll be looking out for GWSC updates.

Mark, I'll bring my bike with me, having missed the Instow cycle-pub trip I'm in need of some social exercise! Looks like enough wind to sail but not as exciting as we'd like.

Fingers crossed to see you all soon.

Hi All

You should all have received an email from GWSC with info about this weekends event.

If you have not seen it - check your junk/trash email.

Its really important you read it all. It includes:
Covid related info on accessing and using the GWSC site.
You will need to download the NHS track and trace app so you can scan in at the club.
SIs - please note the class flag, course (there are two fleets on our course) - the start sequence and the fact that the U flag will be deployed from the first start. There are also many other important things in the document so PLEASE READ IT!

It is amazing that GWSC have decided to proceed with this event - its imperative that the Sprint 15 lead the way on setting the example of a fleet that has read the guidance and is following it.

Look forward to seeing you all at the weekend.

Start by the blue and yellow stripey flag not the one with a diamond in, Sprint 15s go first.
3 minute sequence
Go through the finish line each time
Look out for Dart 18s etc crossing you on starboard when you are on the second reach.
1pm start Saturday, 10.30am Sunday
