NEWSPRINT SPRING 2011

Post by George Love »

The latest edition of the Mag. is ready for despatch and will be posted out on Tuesday when the Newsprint offices open again after the bank holiday. So, they should start dropping on doormats before next Friday and will hopefully prove an interesting diversion to anything else that might be happening on that particular day! :?
If you don't get yours for any reason, please e-mail both Keith Bartlett and myself so we can sort it out- (membership@sprint15.com and newsletter@sprint15.com)
May I convey thanks as ever from me (and on behalf of the wider membership) to all those who have contributed to this issue. Without you it wouldn't happen.
I hope you enjoy reading it and I shall be delighted to receive contributions to the next issue anytime soon.
For the moment I'm off for a wee dram.
Cheers & Laughter

Got my spring edition of NewSprint by pony express, always quicker than royal mail.........my thanks again to George for producing yet another insatiable dream read and my appreciation also to all contributors for taking the time to write and send the editorial desk interesting & funny articles.

I must admit that with being busy with work etc that I hadn’t realised that our very own Charles Watson from deepest northern outpost “Halifax” had been awarded by “Her Royal Majesty” (no less) in the New Years honours list a BBE for services in exploration, not since Sir Edmund Hillary / Sherpa Tensing Norgay conquered Everest in 53 has the country been united and gone wild with joy....... congrats Charles on your daring-do! :D

To all those Sprinters out there, time to send in your entry form for the BIG ONE.......Sport Nationals at Instow! If you haven’t been to Instow before then make this a MUST, just put this event in the diary, great sailing, fantastic club and hospitality second to none, send off your entry NOW! 8)

Finally, George takes a well deserved rest and treat yourself to a few wee drams, cheers.
See you all on the water soon.

Ray - Where is this entry form for instow? Perhaps I'm being daft (no change there then!), but I don't see it..

Cheers

Mark, I can't believe that anyone thinks your daft

The Instow entry form is indeed inded in the spring edition of NewSprint but I wonder if Martin could do his magic and place the "Entry Form" on the web site so that combatents don't have to destroy their magazine :?:

Only 45 more days to go to start of "Sport Nationals" only 35 more days to take advantage of reduced entry fee, which is a bargain, and I as a careful northerner would know

Hi All,
I thought Martin had the info. direct from the lads at Instow. However, I will send it direct to him for posting on the website.
Mags. are in tonight's post. The girls in the post room have worked hard today to get them out

George

Absolutely packed with good stuff, the mag goes from strength to strength.

Planning to be at more events this year rather than reading about the fun I missed!

Looking forward to the ferry trip across for the Shanklin TT (only ever sailed to IOW before) & will get my entry off for Instow shortly.

Robert, I'll bring my emergency rebuild kit, hope I don't need it though!

Keith, given our chairman's comments & his personal menagerie fleet of cats I think you are officially exhonerated for trying other boats & proving the S15 is the one you love! Great article, I must do more warm water sailing, HxSC was pretty cold yesterday, though good fun at F5 gusting F6++
