Did he use the originally fitted righting line? Didn't see one round the mast ball.

Fantastic video. You could see it brewing up to the pitch pole right from the start.

Daren same camera, different day, Thorpe Bay Regatta when a squall come in, the wind had started around 20-25 Mph, and watch to see what it was recorded at.

Too exciting for me, Sandhoppers broke masts and Fevas Cart Wheeled. I understand that everybody returned safely.

Looks fun.
A note on technique. Daren should try and get his bum over the rear beam when sailing off wind in strong winds. It takes a bit of a wriggle to get your aft bumcheek behind the rear beam but it has the following advantages:
1) it moves your weight further aft and reduces the chance of a pitchpole.
2) if you get a partial bury of the bows, it helps stop you from shooting forward increasing your chances of recovery from a potential pitch pole.
Nice action shots though :D :D :D :D
Cheers
Bob
