Bala Long Distance Race on 9th & 10th July

Post by Charles »

Just spotted Robert's post on another thread re this.

Is anyone up for putting together a Sprint15 Association Team together?

Perhaps we could encourage another northern outpost?

I'll mention it to the HxSC Sprinters.

I've got 3 D18s at the moment, so we could think about doing some competitive 2-up racing as an alternative

Never sailed at Bala, not so easy to get to, but the scenery is lovely.

I would be up for it in the 15 if others fancy giving it a go.

Yeah, c'mon boys, it's a good feeling beating bigger cats on the water - the Cheshire cat has nothing on me when I do that!

Runswick Bay Regatta

Post by Charles »

Hi guys, I've decided to do the Runswick Bay Regatta instead of Bala. 9-10 July.

RBBSC is a nice little club, the crowd there are very friendly & camping can be in the boat park or even on the beach by the club.

They haven't decided what the entry fee is yet, but it will be a cover the cost price. BBQ Sat pm & possibly a band.

Sounds fun if you are in the north.

15 attendance seems to be flagging. Still some infection risk after my op so I've decided not to go.
