Windsport team support Seasalter

Post by Brian Phipps »

The Windsport technical support is split two ways this weekend and only a few miles apart. While the Sprint 15 fleet are racing at Seasalter the Dart 18 fleet will be fighting it out just down the road at Whistable.
The Windsport support team and trailer will be providing support for the Sprint15 on location at Seasalter on the Saturday and moving on to the Dart 18 event first thing Sunday. If things get urgent during the day when the Windsport trailer is not with you if you take a short car trip we can sort you out !
Sailors who want replacement parts delivered for the start of the event need to place orders before Thursday 19 16.00hrs .
All the best

Thanks for the support Brian - look forward to seeing you. The last couple of years I have had to nip home and rummage in my spares over the Saturday evenings to get boats back on the water for Sunday.

It is a busy weekend for cats on the North Kent coast because not only are the Sprint 15 and Dart 18 TTs on but the F18, Spitfire and Shearwater classes are at Minnis Bay further east.

Best wishes

Steve

Hi Steve, we do our best!! as you say it is a very busy weekend. Beause I am coaching at Minnis Bay, you will not see my cheery face as usual, but rather a younger and more attractive Windsport face running the Windsport trailer support. She might not know how to fix a rudder, although she will have a go! but she can talk us all under the table.
Katy will be all set up ready to go by 9.00am Saturday, although she might need a bit of a hand with the trailer reversing!!
Have a great weekend .

That works out then - rudders are my speciality as I get to sort out about 8-10 a year including several at each of the last two TTs.

Hope your weekend goes well at Minnis Bay and we look forward to meeting up with Katy - hopefully she can drive straight in one gate and out the other at the end............ (but we will help)

Steve
