Nationals 2013

Post by Chris »

I dont come to many gigs but usually to the Pentewan sailing, but a bit worried about the price for accommodation. will be booking in the next few days. 1 week £900 at the willows. this makes the package very expensive + the entrance fees.
Has the Association got a deal??????

I don't think any deals are on offer for Pentewan but River Valley Caravan site at London Apprentice has been recommended and is a fair bit cheaper.

Hi Simon,

I doubt anyone in the Class knows this for sure. The Clubhouse and site have been developed since the last time we were there in 2009.

In 2009 Mike Ward from the Pentewan club started to read our chat page and replied directly to some of the questions which needed local knowledge. Hopefully someone will do the same this time.

Cheers
Bob

Hmm... wonder if there is a quiet corner in the car park, not too far from the toilets

Hi

What is the situation with camping and campervans at Pentewan, are campervans allowed in the club carpark ?

Is http://www.pentewansands.com/caravan-and-camping/ the local campsite, specifically thinking of Neil's post about booking a caravan locally?

Chris,
I am with you regarding the £900 for the Pentewan holiday park accomodation. Is the general view that River Valley at London Prentice is equally as good, and therefore a number of Sprint 15 sailors and families may stay at that site. If so , I will look to book River Valley and the difference, a spare £400 will go towards a few beers in the new club house.

Mark,

You don't have to rush, just take a bit of time... What's 4 - 5 years , time flies by.
