Steve,
The plan is to be offering Camping and during a Feva event last year there was at least 20 motorhomes, so I don't believe it should be a problem.

Hi Paul,
I think you (the Thorpe Bay Yacht Club) have to request permission from the local council. Don't forget to make sure that a request is in place (or not necessary if it has changed).
Cheers

Bob you are correct, we do it every year once our sailing programme is completed for the year, so we can cover all requests off in one go. This is currently in progress, as it happens by myself and that is why my reply said it shouldn't be a problem. We have never had a problem previously and do not expect one this year. So unless anybody hears anything otherwise camping will be available as it was for last years Open. I think the question was regarding Motorhomes which we don't submit any special requests for but generally they are acceptable.

Since the last nationals in 2008, there have been some improvements. TBYC has successfully negotiated with the local council for permanent use of a portion of the adjacent greensward. This has been hedged-in to give us exclusive use. Nevertheless at big events, we require an enlarged area. And this is being arranged by Paul, as explained by him.
