It's possible, but highly improbable, that Kevin could win the overall series (it would be on countback from Paul Craft, with Stuart and both Pauls achieving only poor results by their normal standards).
The wind forecast is varying as later weather data gets taken into account. At the moment it looks like Unarig may be better on Saturday with Sport Mode better on Sunday, but even that prediction depends on the relative proportions of wind (as measured for Beaufort Scale, ie before gusts) and "gusted wind".
I'd like to see the overall series won by someone sailing Sport Mode. It'll be the first time this millenium, and probably the first since a Carter or Mike Cemm did this double in the 1990s. Maybe Bob can remember, or look it up.
I haven't sailed a Traveller event since Stewartby almost a year ago. I sailed the Standard Nationals at Thorpe Bay after getting commitments from Gordon and Keith Chidwick to help me moving my boat on the beach, most particularly off it! As it happened, I was assisted by other Sprinters, mainly Thorpe Bay sailors, for which help I was and still am most grateful. I think most readers will rightly guess that I have health issues. It now looks as though I won't get to Grafham either; Gordon will be taking the Sport Mug to Grafham for me.
