Membership Renewals - Action Required!

Post by Jenny Ball »

ALL Association membership renewals are due on 1st January 2023. PLEASE can you check that you have the following in place:

1. An annual Standing Order on 1st January each year for £20.
2. That the payment is going to a NATWEST account (and not a Santander or TSB account)

The Secretary and Treasurer have spent many hours of their personal time chasing members still paying on the wrong date and/or to the wrong account. Please check yours is correct so they do not have to spend more of their valuable sailing time chasing you!

At a recent meeting, the Association Committee considered rising costs vs membership fees which have remained unchanged for many years. In particular, we anticipate higher costs for the production and distribution of the Association magazines – a highly valued part of our class membership. On balance, it was felt there were sufficient reserves to cover expected cost increases for the coming year without the requirement for an increase in membership fees. The Committee will continue to monitor the situation with regards to future years.

Membership fees are the financial lifeblood of the Association and allow us to produce our wonderful magazine, financially support sailing events if required (eg. providing trophies, supporting entry fee discounts etc) and for other purposes such as participating in the RYA Dinghy Show or contingency to address matters that affect the future of the class. Its really important that all members are paying correctly and on time.

If you are not paying into a NatWest Association account – please change your membership payments to the following account:
Account Name: UK Sprint 15 Association (or some banks may specify as UK 15 Sprint Association)
Account No: 6576 4854
Sort Code: 60-02-30

Any questions, please get in touch with Secretary Andrew about membership queries or Treasurer Nigel about payment queries.
