Search function not working properly??

A question for Martin Searle I guess, has the search function been changed recently as it is only bringing up relatively recent posts
in the search results??

Nothing has been changed, The phpbb program is a black box. Perhaps an index has corrupted itself or something but the older posts are there.

Martin,
I've tried a few searches using words that I know should pick up so many results that the standard 300 limit might apply!!
Andy B is right - the search function seems only to pick up 2011 posts.

I have switched the search engine index to using another method and it returns results now for dates prior to 2011. I guess the original index is corrupt I'll remove it and allow the system to regenerate it.

Problem looks solved - really impressed by your quick action, especially given you're being rather busy etc at this time.
