Trampoline Lacing - Rules Question

One of the items in the tips article "Supercharge your Sprint 15 by George Carter" is to get a longer tramp rope so you can put an extra loop around each end of the tramp tube. I tried this and it did make tensioning easier, but I also found the angle of the extra rope loop caused chafing and damage to the outside edge of the tramp. To counter this I have added two more sliders into the beam and repositioned the 'stopper' screws so that the outermost sliders on each end are held in line with the edge of the tramp - the extra rope loop now pulls at 90 degrees to the pole, like all the others.
So here's my question - is this class legal? To summarise the changes:
- Longer tramp rope (as per article)
- 2 extra sliders
- Existing stopper screws repositioned a few inches further out (drilled new holes and tapped in existing screws)
I don't think it offers much performance advantage over George's tip (perhaps a little more tension), but it does avoid damage to an expensive part of the boat.
I'll happily change my boat back to the original set-up if this arrangement is not class legal, perhaps proposing a rule change at the next AGM.
