Steve is doing up my boat this winter I have a few boat names in mind but would like help from the forum, any names will be considered we have until next week so I can design some graphics.

The magazine has been my inspiration.

Best not take my advice - I scored second place in the worst names category with "Two's Complement" :D
I like the name though, cos its unashamedly techy and links to my first ever computer science lecture back in 1994.

For boat names, I have tended to look for inspiration in hobbies, family, job, boat class/length/colour, tv/film characters, and so on. With two hulls, there is also the feline theme.

To get the ball rolling, this page has some words that include "sprint" if you fancied a play on the class name (although one has already been taken by the class mag): http://www.scrabblefinder.com/contains/sprint/

My first thought was: "SCAT!" but I decided to sleep on it and woke up thinking "MACAVITY", so it might be useful to have a look at "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats" by T S Eliot. Looking forward to seeing the graphics but sorry to hear you are letting Steve loose on your boat - it's quite fast enough already. Look what happened to Tina Roman after he had a go at hers!

That's good to hear - just collected our two (756 & 842) from the club yesterday to take up to Steve Sawford this week for his treatment.

N.B. Naturalists who track rare animals and have not read T S Eliot may not fully appreciate "SCAT!" as a name. :|

But Nigel Irens designed a big fast cat with that name so it should be all right.
