Newsprint Autumn 2014 Edition

Post by George Love »

Hi Folks,
It's been a busy few days in the Newsprint offices - just how we like it!
The latest edition of the Mag. has cleared the despatch room and will be delivered to the post room for onward transmission to Her Majesty's Postal Service first thing tomorrow :D . So, all things being equal, you should get your copy by the weekend. BUT - as ever - if yours doesn't arrive it could be because:
1. The postie threw it in a hedge-bottom, again - most unlikely
2. You've moved house and not told us your new address - possible :?
3. You STILL haven't paid your new (but now old) £20 subscription - also possible
4. We've made a mistake so you don't receive the copy you are due and are inconsolable and thoroughly miserable  . In that event, apologies in advance are hereby offered.
In any event, please do not despair - vee ave vays of making sure you get it. All you need to do is contact, in the first instance, your hard working Membership Secretary, David Groom, and give him the sob story : membership@sprint15.com. If he likes the sound of said story, he'll get in touch with me and I'll put it in the post.
Meanwhile, I'm off for a wee dram but before I do, may I say a big THANK YOU to all the contributors to this edition. A few weeks' ago I was unsure that I'd have enough material to publish - so please join with me in appreciation of their efforts and perhaps consider a contribution of your own towards the Spring 2015 edition. I, and I'm sure all the readers, would be grateful.
On this edition there are no race reports, save for the Nationals events and a summer TT roundup. Quite candidly, I got bored with reprinting a lot of stuff that was already on the website and in Y&Y. So this edition has a slightly different feel. I'm happier with that but the main question is - are you? Please let me know what you think as well as any other ideas you might have for future editions. More importantly, please consider putting pen to paper to keep Newsprint alive and well.
Hope you enjoy the read.
Cheers (& Laughter)

I strongly object to the way that the editor of this publication has repeatedly used Erling Holmberg as a target for mockery. Erling is a very sensitive person and I am sure you have caused him great hurt by your lack of consideration for his feelings.

Not to mention the cartoonist.

I love the new magazine. Well done, George!

I especially liked reading history of the early years, ie before every news item and photograph was stored on computer.

I've never heard of Red Dwarf Bay. Is it where Nick's famous Epsiloms lived?
