Following some discussion we’ve decided to introduce a new prize for the Heavyweight Champion for the Summer TT series. The result will include the 2 events that have already taken place at Seasalter and Rutland.
The prize will be awarded at the final Series event of the year at Grafham Water.
To keep this in line with the similar trophy awarded at the National’s this will be open to competitors of 14 stone 10 pounds and over. If you think that you may qualify for this could you please let Erling know.
A measurement certificate will not be required, but we reserve the right to use scales!
And on the subject of prizes, why didn't Stuart Snell win the over 50s at last year's nationals because he was that person (at least I don't think he won it)
Robin Boardman - Glasson SC Just because you're not paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you
If you look at the events for 2014 and look at the results for the Thorpe Bay Nationals, at the top of the results it says : Click for: Full Results with all Sub-Competitions
Thank you for your input.
Judging by the weather you serve us up at Seasalter each year you may have a point!
However, in general, I think most of us would accept that whilst a lightweight can depower their boat in windy weather, though that's not ideal,
the poor heavyweight has to carry his weight around all the time, and is stuck with it, whatever the weather!
Not only that, heavyweights by their very nature tend to be "less athletic" which brings it's own problems.
We introduced this after a number of people asked about it.
