Oxford Open Meeting - 5th December

Post by pegums »

Hi All,
Well Stewartby was great fun if a little scary....!!! next up its Oxford and we will follow the new winter format so 3 races B2B start at 11.00am, i will order a perfect force 4 with small shifts to make it interesting. As last year there's a free bacon sammy and tea for all those who enter.

Oxford is dead easy to get to, look for Farnmoor signs, its just off the A34 and with a nice big shallow concrete ramp its dead easy to launch and recover so a great place for anyone new to the sprint 15 open series. I will be there to help organise as will Clive and hopefully Simon. Hope to see you there.

Unfortunately I don't think that I'll be doing any of the winter events. Elbow is still too fragile for single handed sailing. :( :(

So who is going to join me and all the good sailors (that I now obviously have to differentiate myself from) at Oxford on Saturday. Hopefully even given my abysmal level of competence I can still beat the old battleship from the Isle of Wight in at least one race only if to prove its helms even lower status, if that is possible, on the Sprint 15 totem poll than my own.

For cat sailors life has two certainties d@@@h and racing a Sprint 15

Hi Stew
We are already here! Never mind the sailing does this mean we can't get one of your excellent bacon rolls in the morning?
