Newsprint Autumn 2015

Hi All,
The next edition of your favourite magazine should be received from the printers tomorrow and then it will be all hands to the pumps in the admin. dept. to get it out to you asap. Hopefully in the post by Tuesday latest.
As always, may I thank all who have taken time to contribute some great articles. We should all be appreciative of their wordsmithing. I hope you enjoy it.
And - if you don't get yours
- the usual reasons are probably relevant. In that case, you should email David at: membership@sprint15.com - and between him and me we can sort it out.
Some of you - 24 in all - will receive 2 magazines with an accompanying letter from me on behalf of the ctte. (Apologies for the standard form of the letter although I have tried to personalise it a bit). This is not so that you can read it faster with each eye on a different page
. The letter explains all but essentially we are asking you to take it to your local club and ensure that it is displayed in a prominent place (forevermore). It's part of a number of initiatives the ctte. is undertaking to publicise our great community. You have been targeted to help in that regard as a member of a club where we know we have a good presence and where the word might be spread amongst your fellow club members (cat sailors or monohulls) on why they should join us. Thanks in anticipation of your help. And if you need an extra copy if the one you get goes missing, just give me a shout.
Another 17 magazines are being sent to other clubs where we think there may be the odd one at present or we know there have been Sprint 15s in the past which might spark of some more interest there. If that generates just another 5 or 6 new members, it'll be worth it.
You will read in this edition about a number of other ideas your ctte. are progressing. If you have any of your own, please let us know by emailing David who is taking on a special publicity role. And, if you have any ideas for future editions of the magazine e.g. style, content, etc., I'll be delighted to hear from you.
That's all for now. I'm off for a wee dram.....
Cheers & Laughter
