Great News! Plymouth TT Entry now £30 all in

Post by Jenny Ball »

Hi All

I have been having some follow up discussions with Royal Western Yacht Club re the entry fee and berthing fee on their original NOR. They don’t control the berthing fee (set by the marina owners). However, they have been really responsive to my feedback and have negotiated a discount and reduced their entry fee.

The total fee is now £30. This includes entry fee, boat storage and a car parking space (and a camper van would be OK).

I hope this helps those who were planning to attend to put this back in your diary!!

We have a new NOR and SIs accordingly - which Liam may or may not be able to post on the website. I will email them out at the weekend.

I would appreciate if you could spread the word at your clubs too.

Thanks!

Jenny

What's the consensus - jibs & trapezes or unarig?

I could do with the practice for Instow so if I can be bothered I'll use all the bits..

Ps If you had got to Scotland and then the wind died what was the get back strategy? Did it involve Erling and a long drive?

I think if I got past Norfolk the only way back is to carry on. Too late this year now.

Would be good to see you, Andy :D
Staying in B&B just on The Hoe - There are plenty around that area.
Any chance you can persuade a few more from Stewartby to make the trip?
Cheers,

RWYC ran an excellent event and were extremely welcoming. The weather was perfect. Surprised there weren't more making the trip.

Big thank you to Sean for lending me his light weight boat.

Thanks to all the folk at Royal Western Yacht Club for organizing a great event , I really enjoyed the sailing and the race committee did a great job on the water . All of the RWYC sailors performed really well and I am sure there are a couple of future champions amongst them ! Probably the youngest club on the Sprint circuit !
