The Club has always been a small happy friendly Club, with all the usual facilities showers, changing rooms, club house, small bar and a gear store.

The Dart15 fleet has now increased to 24 boats. We also sail Enterprise's, Laser's, Mirror's, and Albacore's. We race on a Thursday evening and a Sunday morning, but you can sail at any other time, regardless of the state of the tide.

The Club sails in Sandown Bay which has very little tide, but some say has less wind than Gurnard, so sailors on the Isle of Wight now have the choice.

Location

Shanklin Sailing Club is situated on the south coast of the Isle of Wight between Sandown and Ventnor, the Club is located by the beach at the north end of Shanklin's Promenade. Access to the water is via gradually shelving sandy beach.
