Author: Martin Searle I have constructed and built a new News system for the website. This is entirely custom written for the site and it integrates into a number of other admin systems so as to provide a more automated way of providing you with updates that have occured on the site to events and other areas. You will have noticed a significant change on the appearance of the home page in the way News is displayed, this is the new system in operation. There is also a viewer application which can display all the articles in descending or ascending date order as well as the option to view just articles of a particular type, ie just event news. To access the viewer click \"More News Postings...\" at the bottom of the news list on the home page The event articles will all take you to the event concerned where you will find the infomation that has been added or updated. Whenever the series results are updated after an event the system will publish a news article automatically to indicate this. The system will ensure only relevant articles about events are displayed also only one Series Results updated message is displayed and it will always be the most current series. |
