Opening 2011 TT at Marconi on 16/17 April

Hi folks
I see details of the of the Marconi TT are up on the site.

Hope some of you will be able to make it.

Slight change this year with 3 races on Saturday and one longer distance figure of eight around the islands on Sunday. Hopfully should give a prompt finish for any distant travellers.

Camping and bar open on the Saturday evening too.

I remember the copious amounts of warm welcome, beer, banter & the subsequent headache last time I came !

The Sunday race was also a refreshing change & great fun with wind & tide changes.

To the extent that a long-range forecast can be trusted, it looks like we're in for sunny spells and gentle southerly breezes for the TT this weekend.

If that forecast comes good it will be a welcome contrast to the last TT at Marconi - more tactical and less survival this time.

We're expecting a good local turn-out and all visitors are guaranteed a warm welcome.
