Boat drop-off at Stewartby following Grafham Inlands

Post by KarlPountney »

As many of you will know Stewartby is kicking off the Winter TT Series on Saturday November 5th.

We have had a number of enquiries from people asking if it is possible to drop their boats off at Stewartby on their way home. For some, they've got a ferry to catch, for others they're finding themselves driving right past Stewartby on the A421 en-route to their own clubs.

We've a big dinghy park with spaces for people who want them. However you will need to let me know in advance or our big sliding gate designed to keep the riffraff out won't open for you.

You can let me know in one of 3 ways

1. You can reply to this post leaving your name and boat number
2. Send me an email through the forum or via the club website: http://www.swsc.org.uk/biography/karl-pountney/
3. You can find me and of the Finch brothers, or other stewpots at the Grafham Inlands.

There is no charge for the spaces as we want to see as many of you at our event as possible. If you feel the urge to show your appreciation then donate to the RNLI.

The notice of race is now on the sprint 15 event page for the TT. Take time to check it out. There will be the opportunity to drop boats of on Friday 4th November and I'll let you know about these arrangements early next week.

Any questions let me know.

Just a short reminder of Stewpot's most excellent offer of free boat-spaces so won't have to tow on November 5th.

Just small amendment to the getting in touch options above. Due to the fact I've been off work with flu these last few days, I'll not be taking part in this weekend's event at Grafham. That said, I should be around on Day 2 as a spectator and I'll be back at the club to greet those dropping boats off.
