Go-Kart Grand Prix 31 August

Post by Bob Carter »

For those of you that are planning to come to the Nationals at Pwllheli don't forget that we are planning to run our customary Go-Kart Grand Prix which has become a cult event during the Nationals week. We are (provisionally) planning to run it on the afternoon of Wednesday 31 August. The last time we ran it Jacob Aldridge won, much to the annoyance of Dad, Mark, who had fancied the title himself. It is surprizing how many of our fleet are 'petrol heads' and the event is contested every bit as keenly as the sailing.
A number of these Go-Kart events are reported in our Events section on this website and if you are interested the report of the last one can be found at:

http://www.sprint15.com/events/EMS/event.php?id=75

Meanwhile, do not forget to book this day off even if you cannot make the rest of the fun events

Watch this space for further details.

Bob

PS This is an event we usually open up to other members of your family (or group).

Details of the fun event have been posted:

I think Liam is keen to give the Wakeboarding a go. Especially if David Groom will too.

It is a good time to get your accommodation for the Nationals week booked. It is still readily available but it will go quickly in the next few weeks.

Cheers

Bob

Hi
I see that we currently have 6 entries for the Go Kart Grand Prix. We should still be able to run it with 6 but it would better if we get a few more so we can run it as a round robin and a final. We normally have some extra entries with friends and families also taking part. If you know of any others who might take part can you please give them a shove
Many Thanks
Bob
PS I see from Facebook that Charles Watson and his family have already been practicing at the go Kart track so maybe we will pick up a few of the Watson clan if they had a good time.
PPS The Go Kart Grand Prix is Wednesday the day after the Nationals Prizegiving so most people should be around"......... :D :D :D :D

No risk to your pelvis by taking part in the go karts but I suggest you steer well clear of the Team Shanklin dancing group if past experience is to be any guide

Ray Gall won the go Karts from Gary Sverdloff and Lawrence Sverdloff who were 2nd and 3rd.
9 took part and Ray Gall and George Love were seen to be doing a little jig when they realised that Team Carsington were the winning team (just) from Team Thorpe Bay.
